Accepting Christ

Have you ever thought to yourself, "I like the idea of Jesus, but I have no idea where to start, or what to do." The good news is that everyone who has been interested in Christ has thought the same exact thing! And Jesus knows this and wants to help, which is why He came to earth as a man. He wants to teach us and show us the path to an eternal life of perfect love and peace. The Bible says, "But these are written that you may believe that Jesus is the Christ, the Son of God, and that believing you may have life in His name." - John 20:31. The word "believe" or "believing" means "to trust", meaning we are asked to trust that Jesus is the Son of God, and by trusting He is the Son of God we have life in His name. The word "life" referring to spiritual life and eternal life. The word "name" biblically also means "character". If we trust in Jesus, we have eternal life in His character. Why His character? Because Christ's character is so much different from any other religious figures, or even the people of this world. Jesus's character is perfect love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, meekness, and self-control, and forgiveness. Christ wants us to become like Himself in character, and that comes by understanding who Jesus is in character.
Jesus is a real person with His own body and personality, and He would like us to communicate with Him with any and all concerns, questions, or even just a casual conversation. We can communicate to Him at any moment with both our thoughts and our audible words. Christ simple would like us to open the door to having a conversation with Him as all He wants to do is help us if we are willing to let Him. What's great is a relationship with Christ is completely free and we can go to Him as many times as we want. Theres no fee or limit to how many questions we can ask, or how much time we can spend with Him on the spiritual telephone. And Jesus will always pick up! It can seem as though He doesn't pick up sometimes, but He's always listening and often times will give you a subtle thought in your own mind as His response. This is why Jesus is known as the small voice in the Bible. He is Gentle and Meek, full of unconditional love and compassion. He died for all of our sins (mistakes) so that we may live an eternal life with Him. It doesn't matter how many mistakes we have made; Christ is just waiting for us to want to start a relationship with Him. Jesus Said, "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I taught. I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you" - John 15:13-15. Jesus laid down His life for us and He wants us to be our friend and that comes by reading the words of Jesus in the Bible. We have a free book of Matthew on our Bible page, so you can read the words of Jesus and start a relationship with Him.
Jesus is still alive today and He can live in us and through us with His Spirit. Christ has a physical body like ours, but He also has a Spirit, which is His means of communication with us. Start your spiritual journey and relationship with Christ today by asking Jesus to give you His love and peace. Consider Communicating to Him that you want to know Him and be His friend. Bring all your troubles to Him as He is just waiting to help you with everything. No matter how big or small the issues Jesus wants to help you. Jesus said, "Come with me, all you who hang on and possess a burden, and I shall give you rest. You should carry my yoke on you and learn from Me, for I am gentle and I have a tender heart, and you will find rest for yourselves. For my yoke is easy for you and my burden is light.” - Matthew 11:28-30
